Has anyone seen any shows at Marymoor Park?
I was reading a little bit about it and it doesn't sound like that great of a venue.
Anyway, Death Cab is playing there the 18th and 19th of July.
Also, I'm decidedly coming home for the summer instead of staying in Pullman. This means I'll be back in less than two weeks. =D |

Went and saw Death Cab up in Spokane pretty much on a whim.
Great concert. I didn't really appreciate how much I like them.
Some of my favorites that they played were:
I Will Follow You Into The Dark
Crooked Teeth
Transatlanticism
Gotta go buy their latest since I hadn't heard anything off of it except I Will Possess Your Heart which I am not a huge fan of as it has been overplayed quite a bit.
Yay for snap decisions.
Along that line I got my ears pierced last weekend, haha. |

I suppose it's been quite a while since I've posted. And it should remain true to my posting habits that I'm moderately drunk when I post this. Forgive the randomness and amalgamation of my drunken thoughts.
I had a great break hanging out with everyone, even if only for a bit. Uh, the ARHS musical was not very good. I hold high standards for the drama department as the classes including and surrounding my own put on superb performances. This one was meh.
I enjoy driving at night because there's no traffic and I can focus on just(*) driving and listening to good music. I really wanted to go see another radiohead laser show, and I hope they're still going on the next time I'm back in Seattle, because I will go by myself if need be. I listened to about 3 radiohead CDs in their entirety on my trip back to Pullman.
*Haha at the word "just" which Zach describes as the new "like", such that it is becoming a superfluous word that people (myself included, and I laugh because of this reason every time I catch myself) insert into their speech.
So I got in around 11:30, went to a bar called "My Office" which is a totally awesome name for a bar ('Step into my office'). "The Office" is a wonderful show, and I enjoyed watching it on Friday night whilst beginning a night of extremely light drinking followed by going to be fairly early. Anyway, had most of a pitcher to myself.
Got back some time after 1. Went to a smoke a cigarette outside my apartment (bad, smoking is bad, quit!) and proceeded to smoke with the people up the hill in the next apartment complex, similar to the experience I had right before break started (so smoking is a good way to meet new people that also smoke). Hung out for a bit with them, played some beer pong, had some solid drunken conversation (always awesome).
Now I shall play some Rock Band and go to bed! Good times. |

Week off to recharge my motivation for school which has been sorely lacking these last few weeks, you know, assuming that my motivation for school could ever have been considered to be in a charged state. |

drove home last night at 8pm, got in around 2 or 3 or something. Fell asleep watching Alien. This semester blew, and assuming my gpa stays above a 2, next semester should be better. Less partying, more schooling. Damn the distractions! |

Started reading through old posts from 2005. I was so emo that first year it makes me laugh.
Picked up Rock Band 2 on Monday, good times.
Read Twilight in about a total of about 8 hours. I want to read the second one badly, can't wait for the movie.
I wish I was a vampire so I didn't have to sleep. |

I watched 8 episodes of Stargate Atlantis (catching myself up in the fifth season), two episodes of The Office (first two of season 5), even though I'd seen them already, and I will probably watch either a movie or a couple more episodes of some television show before I go to bed.
What should I have done today?
Study for my Quantum Mechanics midterm coming up on Friday.
Study for my differential equations midterm this week.
Do Electricity and Magnetism homework that I should have done, literally, last year.
Do Modern Physics homework due on Wednesday because I have a lot of other shit going on this week.
What did I do instead of doing any of those things this entire weekend?
Went to two parties on Friday night, a growing up in the 90s birthday party and a black and white party.
Cleaned the entire living room and dining room by myself, as well as my bathroom on Saturday. Watched movies/TV, got a little drunk and danced around to really loud music while no one was home.
So all said and done, it was a decent weekend. |

In other news... school, while not going perfectly, is going somewhat well. I feel less stressed now that I dropped down to 12 creds from 15. I doubt I'll get near perfect grades as I've already tanked a few assignments in Quantum due to unfortunate and yet predictable and avoidable circumstances. I should still pass if I can rock the tests, and I will be doing all that I can to do so. Due to pushing some classes back I'm OK with that and if I have to take out student loans to stay another semester or two beyond my current predictions, so be it. I'm following a major that feels somehow right to me, despite where it leads to in the professional realm.
Have been on a really weird sleep schedule, need to normalize that. Need to play more tennis or run or gym or something. I ran once like two weeks ago and haven't since, haha. In my defense, I am just now finally seeming to recover from a weakened immune system due to sickness in the summer followed by surgery. I want to build back up some endurance and physique. I don't care so much about eating super healthy as long as I'm physically active often.
How the hell did that turn into a legitimate update? |

Heading back to Pullman for a few days to pick up my computer and tidy up the apartment a little.
After that I should be home for the rest of the summer. Lake days? Frisbee? Picnics/BBQs?
Having surgery on the 21st so i'll be kind of down for a while after that... movie nights anyone? |

ah... well my "summer" is pretty much coming to a conclusion.. sort of.. kind of, but not really
Heading back to Pullman to start summer school tomorrow. I had a fantastic stay at home, good times hanging out with everyone. Now I get to go to a desolate wheatland ghost town, woo. I'll be in school for about 2 months, through the end of July. Craig gets done in 2 weeks, so then I will be super lonely and bored in the apartment by myself =( But at least it'll be conducive to studying and working on school and stuff, so that's good, so long as I don't get cabin fever and go looney.
As far as summer plans go, I'll be back on a few weekends, next weekend being one of them. Two weekends after that I'll be the best man in my best friend's wedding. And the weekend after that one I'll be home for another wedding. July seems pretty open at this point, so if anyone wants to come over and hang out, that would be pretty awesome, there should be open beds in the apartment.
After school is done I'll be back for the first half of August for surgery so I can stay in bed for a few days and generally take it easy, hopefully I'll be able to lay out by the lake and stuff, or in it, or something. That reminds me that I need to figure out where I'm living next year so I move all my stuff at the end of July and have my room more or less good to go for when I head back to school in like the third week of August.
Well anyway, that's what I'm up to, maybe a legit post about my state of mind (which is more or less pretty good right now, hence why I've not been posting much) and such shall come soon. |
